Maluti Mountain lodge

Stayed in the self catering room. Although it was clean and fresh bedding. The place itself needs lots of upgrading and maintenance to be done. For the price paid @R1400 per night it is a complete rip off. Towel had holes in. Doors, bedside cabinets broken. One aircon taped up and the other one vents kept open with a spunge. Microwave in the room was rusted. Breakfast consisted of bacon. Scrambled egg and what I suppose was mince. In a bowl was a few pieces of cut fruit and what looked like watered down yoghurt. Bread was still in packet and no tongs to take it out. Glass to drink juice from was cracked. Pool looked like a green fishpond and pool area like a scrapyard, nothing like the pictures being advertised.See pictures. We have travelled alot in SA and abroad and have never stayed in a place this bad. We did however liked the bunnies, dog and chicken that was roaming around. Will never return or recommend the place.

This was our second year with out motorcycle group and Maluti was amazing. The rooms are clean and neat, the beds are good. The food was great and the staff were very pleasant and friendly.

Just no shower soap, or shampoos available
